The finest coastline in the South
Torcross is a small picturesque coastal village on the A379 between Dartmouth & Kingsbridge.
The Surrounding area, the South Hams is a designated area of natural beauty. Torcross is unusual in that it has water on both sides of it – the sea to the east and Slapton Ley, a large lake and Nature reserve to the west side. A small fishing fleet uses the wide beach to launch from.
A traditional seaside village
The nearby villages of Slapton , Strete and Stokenham cater for all day to day needs having a Post office/general stores, gift shops, butcher, farm shop, pubs, restaurants, & cafes. Torcross itself has A great Pub and two very good cafes , one licensed.
Local activities include walking, cycling, swimming, fishing, bird watching, golf and the theme park Woodlands for both the young and the young at heart. All too active for you? Just sit down with your favourite tipple and enjoy the view.
